Built from engineering.
A surprising amount of highly skilled work is not difficult — it is repetitive. We spent years doing that work by hand, then built the tools we wished existed. Valtrin applies the same approach to other businesses.
Origin
Skilled work, repeated.
Valtrin began inside engineering work, not around it. Estimating, BOMs, weight runs, drawing registers, production drawings — the daily material of a design office. Years of it taught us the observation the company is built on: much of what skilled people do all day is not hard. It is the same calculation, the same document, the same register — rebuilt in general-purpose software, week after week.
So we built the tools we wished already existed — first for the work in front of us, then for other businesses with the same shape of problem. That origin still sets how we build: we arrive already knowing how a fabrication cost builds up, what a revision history has to prove, and why a number nobody can re-derive is worthless.
Nothing on this page is aspiration. The systems below exist, run, and can be demonstrated.
The founder
"I did the repetitive parts of engineering by hand for years — the BOMs, the weight runs, the costing sheets rebuilt from last month's file. Nobody should pay their best people to be slow versions of software. Valtrin builds the tool I wished existed at every desk I ever sat at."
CALVIN WOOB.Eng. (Hons.) Mechanical Engineering · Solutions ArchitectThe method
One competence, four materials.
Watch the work as it really runs.
Not the procedure manual — the actual Tuesday afternoon: who types what, into which file, and what breaks when they're on leave.
One workflow. One system.
The discipline that keeps a fixed price honest. Everything else waits its turn — and gets cheaper once the first system exists.
Around your files, not ours.
Excel in, PDF out, your templates and numbering. No migration, no process change, no retraining onto someone else's idea of the work.
Prove it against known results.
The system reproduces output you already trust — on cases you choose, to a written tolerance — or the balance isn't payable.
What we hold ourselves to
Plain commitments, stated in advance.
On every build
- You own what we build. Source code delivered — no licence, no lock-in.
- Every build is scoped before a fixed quote is issued. Exclusions stated out loud, early.
- AI reads and writes. Code calculates. Every number is auditable and repeatable.
- Validated against your known results before it goes live — not against a demo dataset.
- No invented proof. Nothing on this site claims a client or a metric we don't have.
The larger point
- Malaysian businesses compete against operations further along the automation curve, at lower labour cost.
- That comparison isn't won on headcount — it's won on output per person.
- Every hour of repetitive work removed is cost advantage returned to a local firm.
- So we start with one workflow, prove it, and let the second one be cheaper because the first exists.
